Solar modules (often called “panels”) generate electricity when exposed to sunlight. That electricity is converted into a more useful form- typically made into AC electricity matching the power coming from the local utility. More and more we system designers have many other options: car charging directly from solar; battery power for emergency back up or to be used at a different time of day; even running a water heater or other specific load.

- DC optimizers or other rapid-shutdown compliant unit
- Options like batteries, vehicle charging, etc. help inform inverter selection
- Inverter most appropriate for client needs
- Electrical integration into the building electrical system
